YOUR ABILITY IN CHRIST

One major reason why many Christians are not experiencing breakthrough in life today is because they are ignorant of their ability in Christ (Isa. 5:13; Hos. 4:6).

Frequently we hear Christians confessing what they cannot do. We hear them say, for instance; “I just cannot seem to get out of debt regardless of how hard I work at it; I cannot eat certain types of food as they make me sick; I cannot receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit; I cannot get along with my employer.”

Beloved, you will never be able to do more than you are willing to confess that you can do in Christ. For “You are snared by the words of your mouth” (Prov. 6:2) and where the word of the king is there is power” (Eccl. 8:4). “By thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned” (Matt. 12:37).

Now I want you to understand how you, as a New Creation, have been empowered and commissioned to go and manifest Christ to the world.

As a New Creation you ought to know “What you can do in Christ.” You can do whatever God says you can do. God says: you can do all things (Phil. 4:13; Ex. 3:12; Heb.13: 5), because He is the One that gives you the strength.

Whatever He can do you too can do because He is the One doing it through you. And with God nothing shall be impossible (Lk 1:37; Jer. 27:32). To him that believeth ALL things are possible (Mk 9:23). You can do how many things? ALL things!

Therefore, concerning your ability in Christ, God says you have the ability to:

  1. Do all things (Phil. 4:13; Ex. 3:12; Heb.13: 5).
  2. Overcome temptations (1 Jn. 4:4).
  3. Resist the devil (Jam. 4:7).
  4. Cast out devils (Mk. 6:17).
  5. Speak with new tongues (Mk. 6:17)
  6. Take up serpents and it will not harm you (Mk. 6:17).
  7. Drink anything deadly and it shall not hurt you (Mk. 6:17).
  8. Lay your hand on the sick and he will recover (Mk.16: 18).
  9. Raise the dead (Jn. 11).
  10. Trample upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means harm you (Lk. 10:19).
  11. Succeed in everything you do (Ps.1:3; Josh.1:8).
  12. Have whatever you confess (say) (Mk. 11:23).
  13. Pass through the waters, through the rivers through the fire and you shall not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle upon you (Isa. 43:2; Isa. 59:19).
  14. Command the rain to stop (2 Ki.17:1). You can command cancer to die. You can command the blind to see. Command the cripple to walk. You can command the leper to be cleansed. You can command the sun to stand still (Jos. 10:12-14), having received the fullness of Christ to do as Jesus did and even greater.
  15. Live a righteous and holy life (Heb. 12:14).
  16. Die to self (Gal. 2:20).
  17. Move mountains (Matt. 17:20).
  18. Still the storm when the wind blows in the contrary (Mk. 4:38-39).
  19. Be a celebrated soul winner (Prov. 11:30; Dan.12:3).
  20. Live at peace with all men (Rom. 12:18).
  21. Reign in this life (Rom. 5:17)
  22. Overcome hurts.
  23. Dress properly. Dress the way you want to be addressed.
  24. Still get on even when you are weak.
  25. Do without drugs (you can be free from drug addiction).
  26. Sleep well without having nightmares.
  27. Overcome depression.
  28. Overcome rejection.
  29. Manifest hospitality (Heb. 13:1-3).
  30. Be a serious and committed Christian.
  31. Make it to heaven.

You are so special to God. You mean so much to God. You matter a lot to His eternal purpose. Stop despising yourself! See yourself as God sees you! See yourself as a success and not a failure. See yourself as an over comer and not as a defeated one. See yourself as more than a conqueror. See yourself as fearless! See yourself as prosperous and not a pauper! See yourself as dwelling in divine health and not as a sickly person!

The realization of the package you have in Christ makes you more than a conqueror. It helps you to have a very sound opinion of yourself – a positive self-image. Talk about who you are in Christ. Think it! Believe it! Confess it! As you do this, your faith will abound and you will effectively exercise dominion over the devil walking in total victory everyday of your life.
