Isaiah 8:18 says, “Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”
In John 3:8 Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
As children of God we are not ordinary. We are gods (Ps. 82:6-7). So, the moment you become a child of God, the supernatural becomes your natural inheritance. The supernatural realm is the realm of the miraculous.
What is a miracle? A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God in the normal course of nature.
In Hebrews 11:3 the Bible says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
In other words, by faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command (Word), that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. That is to say that the realm of the invisible controls the realm of the visible. If you don’t like what you are seeing right now, you can change it from the supernatural.
Yes, the supernatural is your heritage, but there are keys to unlock this realm. Just as it is with entering your house, though it is your house, but you still need the right key to open your door.
In Matthew 16:18-19 Jesus said, “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
What will He give you? The keys to the Kingdom!
What is the supernatural? It is a manifestation attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.
Until you receive the Word you cannot operate in the supernatural (miraculous). In John 1:12 Jesus said, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
It is not just enough to believe; you must also receive and obey. In Mark 16:15-20 Jesus said, “…17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover…20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word (they preached) with signs following. Amen.”
The first key to the supernatural is the Word of God. Signs and wonders confirm the Word of God for those who believe (Mk. 16:20). For instance, the Word of God heals and makes the sick whole.
Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
The Word of God makes alive and it is powerful (Heb. 4:12). The Word of God is the power of God unto salvation, deliverance, healing, prosperity (Rom. 1:16-17).
Therefore, in Proverbs 4:20-22 God said, “My son, attend to My Words; incline thine ear unto My sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
How does the Word work? You must realize that before the Word of God can produce a miracle in your life, you must first believe it and receive it into your spirit.
The natural mind cannot accept the fact that it is possible for a 90-year-old woman to conceive and give birth to a child; that it is possible for a person born blind to see again; that exactly the right amount of money to meet to a certain financial need will come from unexpected sources precisely at the very moment it is needed. And, because the natural mind is not capable of understanding miracles, God’s promises to you must bypass your natural mind.
Here is the truth: When you reach the place where it seems that God’s promises (His miracle provisions) for healing, prosperity, deliverance are not being manifested in your life, it is not because God’s Word is powerless; it is because you have not allowed the Word to penetrate into your spirit-man.
For instance, one day, a woman in the last stages of tuberculosis was brought to a certain minister of the Gospel.
Doctors had given her up on her case as beyond medical aid. When the ambulance brought this woman in, this minister knew that she was dying. Had this minister still been practicing medicine, she would have started administering very strong drugs immediately. Instead this minister began to read the Scriptures to her.
She spent about two hours reading the Word of God concerning divine healing; especially from Deuteronomy 28 and Galatians 3:13. Then she instructed the dying woman to repeat to herself every waking moment: “According to Deuteronomy 28:22, consumption (or tuberculosis) is a curse of the law.
But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I don’t have tuberculosis any longer.” The sick woman repeated this so many times, but the story remained the same.
On the afternoon of the third day, while this minister was doing something else, she heard a commotion upstairs. The new patient came rushing down the stairs, shouting at the top of her voice, Pastor - did you know? Christ has redeemed me from tuberculosis.
You see, the minister realised that the way into the heart (spirit-man) is through the mind. She knew that if the sick woman would say to herself often enough, “According to Deuteronomy 28:22, consumption is a curse of the law. But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I no longer have tuberculosis,” the truth would eventually register on her heart (spirit-man).
Therefore, don’t be too quick to pray for the sick or someone that has a need. Instruct them more in the Word of God first. Get the Word to register in their heart (spirit-man). As it registers there, it will manifest in the flesh. God’s anointed Word will work for you, and make you free from every yoke of bondage to sin, sickness, poverty etc.
But you MUST act on God’s Word by agreeing with it. You must believe it and feed upon it constantly. That’s how you get it into your spirit-man.
As God’s anointed Word becomes part of you, that very anointing will deliver you and bring freedom to every area of your life. The Word of God is a seed which should be planted deep in your spirit-man before it will grow and produce the miracle you need.
Anyone you see commanding the supernatural has gained deep insight of the Word of God. If you will go higher in the realm of the supernatural, then you must go deep into the Word (2 Pet. 3:15-16).
Now, who was Paul? Paul was a servant of God (Acts 14:8-11). God did special miracles by the hand of Paul (Acts 19:11;19).
Therefore, by the authority of the Word of God, I decree that your challenges have expired, IJN. Anyone that attacks your life from today, my God will bury them, IJN. Anyone that tries to frustrate your destiny by any form of demonic influence, my God will humiliate and disgrace them, IJN. Anyone that has vowed that whatever is happening in the world will happen to you, my God will reverse their decrees, IJN.
