Many Christians are not able to receive the benefits of their faith
because they are ignorant of how to release their FAITH. So,
today we want to look at the “HOW TO
RELEASE YOUR FAITH!” In all of our dealings with God, faith is of primary
importance. Why is faith of primary importance? It is because without faith you
cannot please God.
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without
faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
What
does it mean to release your faith? To release your faith is to put it
into action. To release the energy (ATP) in the tuber of yam or the grains of
rice, you need to masticate it, turn it into a paste by mixing it with your
saliva so that the enzyme called ptyalin can act on it. The smaller (finer) the
ground piece of yam or grain of rice, the greater the surface area of the food
that the ptyalin can act on. The enzyme acts on it to reduce it to glucose.
This glucose is carried in the blood stream to the cells where they will now be
broken down in the presence of oxygen to release the required energy (ATP).
Though the food material contains this energy, the energy will never be useful
to you until it is released from the food material. Though you have faith, the
faith may not be useful to you until you release it into action.
How
then can one release his/her faith? You can release your faith through:
- Prayer,
- Confession, and
- Sowing a quality seed.
1. Prayer. Every success in this life is due to prayer. When you pray,
you licence God to get involved in your affairs on this earth.
In John 14:13-14 Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ASK in My name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ASK anything in My
name, I will do it.”
The emphasis in this Scripture is “ask.” Why then do
you find it difficult to ask God to prosper you, to promote you, to heal you,
to protect you? If you don’t ask you won’t receive.
In Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus said, “ASK, and it shall
be given you; SEEK, and ye shall find; KNOCK, and it shall be
opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
In Matthew 21:22 Jesus said, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ASK in prayer, believing, ye shall
receive.”
1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that
we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we desired of Him.”
The Bible says, “MANY are THE
AFFLICTIONS of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them
all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken” (Ps. 34:19-20).
How does the Lord deliver His people from affliction? He does that through prayers only.
In Jeremiah 33:3 God said, “Call unto Me, and I will
answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
1 Samuel 2:9 says, “...for by strength
shall no man prevail.”
Ecclesiastes 9:11 says, “...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet
bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to
men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
What is the first thing the Lord requires you to do when trouble strikes? Simply Pray!
James 5:13 says, “Is any among
you AFFLICTED? Let him PRAY...”
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person
makes tremendous power available (Jam. 5:14-16).
Examples abound in the Scriptures of people who, when they were
in trouble, released their faith through prayer:
a)
In Acts 14, the apostles released their faith through
fervent prayer (Acts 4:21-31).
b)
In Acts 16, when Paul and Silas were in trouble, they
released their faith through prayer (Acts 16:25-26).
c)
Prophet Elijah released his faith through
earnest/fervent prayer (Jam. 5:17-18).
2. The words of
your mouth – your confession. What things do you say with your mouth? What
do you confess?
It is with your mouth that you call those things that
be not as though they were (Rom. 4:17). It is with your mouth that you say the
things that God has said about you in the Bible.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “...10 For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.”
If you really believe something with your heart,
you’ll speak it forth through your mouth, for out of the abundance of the heart
the mouth speaks.
2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “...I believed, and therefore have
I spoken; WE ALSO BELIEVE, AND THEREFORE SPEAK.”
Proverbs 18:20-21 says, “A man's belly shall be satisfied
with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be
filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it
shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Examples of people that released their faith through
their words abound in the Scriptures:
a) God the Father Himself released His faith for light
through words (Gen. 1:1-3).
b) David released his faith to conquer Goliath through
words (1 Sam. 17:43-47)
3. Sowing
a quality seed. Your faith about a particular need in your life can be
released by your sowing a quality seed. This is about the most effective way of
releasing your faith for the breakthrough you need in your life.
How
and why?
Seed sowing places a demand on the power
of God to flow in your direction into your situation.
Your
faith is measured by your seed. Your
seed is the evidence of your faith. You can believe God for big things
in life, but if you have no seed, you have no evidence for your faith. Your
seed perfects your faith.
What is a miracle seed or a seed faith? It is a seed
that releases your faith. It is a seed that stands before God to plead your
case concerning a particular issue. A miracle seed stands as a barrier between
you and the devil. The miracle seed is a weapon that confronts the forces of
darkness that want to mess up your life – finances, health, business, marriage,
family, children, spouse, and career.
God is a God of seed (Jn. 3:16).
Everything you need in life is hidden in that seed in your hand. You don’t have
to pray for a harvest [miracle] if you understand that God is a God of seed. The harvest [miracle you need] is in the
seed. All you need to do is to sow that quality seed in your hand.
That new car,
limitless increase in every area of your life, divine healing, new job, new
house, admission into the University, scholarship, or the life partner you need
is hidden in your seed. The harvest is already in that seed in your hand. But
it will never produce the desired harvest unless you sow it. The seed may leave your hand but it will
never leave your future.
God
gives you seed to help you create your financial future. God provides seed not to every Christian
but to those ones that are willing (Isa. 1:19) to sow, that is, the one that
has the heart to sow (2 Cor. 9:10).
Whatever you
ask God to do for you, a finished marriage, a finished house, a new car etc.,
He answers in seed.
The miracle seed touches the heart of God concerning
your case. It speaks for you before God. It spoke for
Cornelius (Acts 10:1-48). What your connections, your mini-skirt or your
show-back cannot do for you, angels are released to do it for you once you sow
the required seed. Once the Lord inhales the sweet aroma of that miracle seed,
angels are released to work on your behalf. God takes from you the seed of
faith to make for you that your very pressing need.
Come to think of it: how come you don’t
believe in harvest when you are a harvest yourself? Your father sowed a seed.
By so doing, he released his faith for a child. Your mother carried the seed
for nine months. And you came out as the harvest of the seed sown by your
father. You are a figure and a link to the countless generations to come. You
are an overflowing harvest.
If you are a return of the seed sown by your
father, then you must know that whatever you sow you’ll have returns.
Your
miracle seed will say what you cannot say and go for you where you cannot go. Your miracle seed confirms what you
believe God for. In other words, your miracle seed is the evidence of
your faith because faith without works is dead (Jam. 2:14-17; 26).
Faith cannot manifest without works. James
2:17 says, “Faith without works (the right seed) is dead.” The word “works”
in Hebrew means “corresponding action.”
Examples abound in the Scriptures of people who
released their faith by sowing a miracle seed:
a) God the Father Himself released His
faith for a church family by sowing the unspeakable Seed (Jn. 3:16; 2 Cor. 9:15).
b) Abraham released his faith for
the miracle he needed from God by sowing a miracle seed (Gen. 18, 22).
Isaac was the quality seed that Abraham
sowed in order to reap the harvest of becoming the father of nations. Your seed contains your harvest (miracle) –
your new car, your new house, your divine healing, that new job etc.
Abraham was childless. But he tapped the
wonder-working power of God into his situation by placing a demand on the power
of God through his seed, and the yoke of childlessness was destroyed. Abraham
linked up with the invisible hand of the Omnipotent God through faith and
virtue was instantly released into his situation. And Isaac came forth.
c)
Adam sowed a miracle seed of a rib to receive Eve (Gen. 2:21-22). And
you ask, couldn’t God have created Eve afresh?” He took this rib from Adam in
order to make for Adam what he needed and give her back to him. Listen friend,
God takes from you that seed faith or miracle seed to make for you that very
thing you need. Shout yes! Whatever God takes from you is to serve as a seed to
make for you what you need. Why didn’t God give Eve to another man? Because it
was Adam that sowed a seed concerning her.
What
you eat is mandated to remain like that because you have spent it, but what you
give out (invest) is energized and quickened to reproduce. Except you give out,
you cannot smell abundance not to talk of overflow. Hallo!
That
sister you have been running around to please, you may not get her because
someone else is somewhere fasting and praying concerning her like you are
doing. But there is something else this other brother is doing in addition
which you are not doing.
What
is it that this other brother is doing? He is sowing his rib in the form of a
miracle seed concerning her. And for sure God will take that rib, make that
sister, and hand her back to the other brother who sowed the rib and not you
who just want to reap where you did not sow.
Brother,
no lady will say no to you if you sow a miracle seed before you approach her to
deliver your powerful manifesto. Why? Because the seed you have sown will be
pleading your case before the Lord. And this will cause your mouth to move with
precision and absolute accuracy like the pen of a ready writer as you deliver
your manifesto. And God is the One that has the heart of the king even that of
that sister in His hands. One touch from the Lord will change her mind in
favour of you.
For you to receive the miracle you need, you MUST sow
what you cannot afford, what is painful to you. It must be painful to be
gainful. The gain is in the pain. “Gather unto Me all those that have made a
covenant with Me by sacrifice” (Ps. 50:5). “Those who sow in tears shall
reap in joy” (Ps. 126:5).
When
the Lord was taking the rib from Adam, it was awfully painful. Every seed you
sow that will speak for you in the presence of God must be painful. God gave us
an example to follow. He sowed Jesus, His only begotten Son to reap the Church
(Jn. 3:16; Phil. 2:5).
Adam sowed a seed in tears and reaped Eve in joy (Gen. 2:15-23). If you sow a
seed faith in tears today, I assure you that you will reap your miracle in joy.
Let me ask you, “Why
do you think that more than 95% of Christians today are struggling?” They
are struggling because of disobedience to God’s Word.
In Job 36:11-12 God said, “If you
obey and serve Him, you shall spend your days in prosperity (total well-being),
and their years in pleasures. 12 But if you obey not, they shall perish by the
sword, and they shall die without knowledge.”
In Isaiah 1:19-20 God said, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall
eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured
with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”
The
Bible said that Isaac planted a seed and reaped a harvest in the same year
(Gen. 26:12). Isaac only knew God as Elohim, the One that makes the law, the
Creator. But God was about to reveal Himself to him as El-Shaddai, the One that
overrides the law. That was why Isaac reaped in the same year (Gen. 26:12). And
because God is El-Shaddai, He can also give you your desired miracle (harvest)
in one second.
Beloved,
that which you are holding in your hand right now is your miracle seed meant to
release your faith. You have your destiny in your hands. Hold back the seed and
remain the way you are. Release it and receive the harvest you have been
expecting. The choice is yours!
