GOD IS ABLE

Last Sunday you were encouraged to have faith in God. Today, I have come to tell you why you should have faith in God: “GOD IS ABLE” to see you through whatsoever challenges you may be experiencing.

The storms of life come to everybody. They may come in the form of sickness, financial difficulty, barrenness, fear, family problems etc. Perhaps you or someone dear to you has been diagnosed with cancer. In that your aching situation all you need to do is to realize that:

1. God is great and He is bigger than your problem. Psalm 145:3 says, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”

For instance, God made Isaac great. Genesis 26:12-14 says, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great.”

2. God is unlimited in FaithfulnessGreat is His faithfulness. You can count on God - He will never let you down.” That is faithfulness (Lam. 3:22-23).

3. God is not limited in any way by anything! In Luke 1:37 Jesus said, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

In Jeremiah 32:27 God said, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for Me?”

And because God is great and unlimited in everything, He can do the unthinkable, the unimaginable.

a) God is able to turn your situation around for your good (Eph. 3:20). So, when the storms of life show up in your life, just remember that:

He is ABLE (Heb. 11:6). Do you believe God is able to make you see, wealthy, prosperous?

b) Realize that your situation is temporary (Prov. 23:18),

c) Remember that joy is on the way (Ps. 30:5),

d) Understand that God will surely deliver you from that very situation (Ps. 34:19-20).

Therefore, be fully persuaded that the Ancient of Days, the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty God, El-Shaddai, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jireh, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, is ABLE to:

1. Generously provide all you need (2 Cor. 9:8).

2. Make a way for you where men say there is no way. For instance, God parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel to pass through (Ex. 14). This is unthinkable

3. God made a woman that was 90 years old, in whom it has ceased to be after the manner of women, to conceive and bare a son (Rom. 4:17-21). This is unthinkable!

4. God can shut the mouth of the hungry lions. For instance, God shut the mouth of the hungry lions in the den of lions (Dan. 6), so they could not harm Daniel. This is unthinkable!

5. God can cause dry bones to live again. In Ezekiel 37:1-10, He caused the dry bones of dead people in an open valley to become an exceeding great army.

6. God is able to make you to walk on water. Peter walked on water (Matt. 14:22-32; Heb. 12:2).

7. God is able to calm any kind of storm in your life. He can calm that storm in your marriage, business etc. In Mark 4:35-41, He calmed the storm raging in the Sea of Galilee.

8. God is able to turn water into wine. In John 2, He turned water into the sweetest wine that ever existed.

9. God is able to heal you no matter how long your sickness has lasted. In John 5, He healed a man by the pool of Bethesda who had an infirmity for 38 years.

10. God is able to raise the dead. In Mark, Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead.  Maybe the Pharisees said that the girl was not really dead but sleeping. Therefore, He raised the only son of the woman of Nain that was already in a coffin from the dead.

The scientists among them said that he may have also been in a long coma. This time around Jesus decided to allow a man called Lazarus to be stone dead, and already buried in the grave yard. In John 11, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

11. God is able to perform whatsoever He has promised. For instance, the case of Abraham and Sarah. In spite of all odds, God performed exactly what He promised them (Gen. 15:1-6).

In Genesis 18:10 God said to Abraham, “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.”

Romans 4:21 said, “And [Abraham] being fully persuaded (convinced) that, whatever He had promised, HE WAS ABLE also to perform.”

Genesis 21:1-2 says, “And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken (promised). 2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”

What has God promised us this year? God has promised us DIVINE SUPPLY!

How will God accomplish this in your life? Just realize that God is great.  And if you are Born Again, you are a seed of greatness, because you are made in the image and after the likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27).

“…because as He is, so are we in this world” (1 Jn. 4:17).

Therefore, no matter how extreme your calamity, God is able to help you, because what God cannot do does not exist. He is loving and kind to all especially those who are distressed. Rise up today and receive your miracle!
