Today, we
want to focus on the seventh principle of receiving your miracle from God – “PLACE A DEMAND ON THE POWER OF GOD!”
Whenever you need a miracle form God, realize that He requires you to place a demand on His power, connect to the power of God, or cause the power of God to flow in your direction right into your situation.
How do you place a
demand on the power of God?
You place a demand on the power of God by faith.
How is this faith released or activated? It is released through your seed. The
seed you sow helps you to release your faith, and place a demand on the
power of God to flow into your situation. That power is more than enough to destroy any yoke of
bondage in your life.
From the Scriptures
we know that every dealing of man with God is by faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But
without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek
Him.”
Faith cannot manifest
without works.
In James 2:17 the Bible says, “Faith without works (the right seed)
is dead.”
The word “works” in Hebrew means
“corresponding action.”
James
2:14-26 says, “…17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being
alone….26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, SO FAITH WITHOUT
WORKS IS DEAD ALSO.”
God is the God of seed. Everything
you need in life is hidden in that seed in your hand or bank account. The miracle you need is in
your seed. What releases your miracle is your seed.
That new car, that enlargement in every area of your
life, that divine healing, that new job, that new house, that scholarship, or
that the life partner you need is hidden in your seed. But that seed in your
hand will never produce the desired harvest unless you sow it.
The seed may leave your hand but it will never leave
your future. Whatever you ask God to do for you, a finished marriage, a
finished house, or a new car, He answers in seed.
Genesis 8:22 says, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and
harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night
shall not cease.”
What is a miracle seed or a seed faith? Seed faith is a precious seed you sow to place a demand on
the power of God to flow in your direction so as to meet to a particular need in your life.
It is a seed that releases your faith. It is a seed that stands before God to
plead your case concerning a particular issue. A miracle seed stands as a
barrier between you and the devil. The miracle seed is a weapon that confronts
the forces of darkness that want to mess up your life – finances, health,
business, marriage, family, children, spouse, and career.
Your
miracle seed will say what you cannot say and go for you where you cannot go.
Your miracle seed confirms what you believe God for. In other words, your
miracle seed is the evidence of your faith because faith without works
is dead.
The
miracle seed touches the heart of God concerning your case. It speaks for you
before God. It spoke for Cornelius (Acts 10). What your connections, your
mini-skirt or your show-back cannot do for you, angels are released to do it
for you once you sow the required seed. Once the Lord inhales the sweet aroma
of that miracle seed, angels are released to work on your behalf. God takes
from you the seed of faith to
make for you that your very pressing need.
Your faith is
measured by your seed.
Your seed is the evidence of your faith (Jam. 2:22). You can believe God for
big things in life, but if you have no seed, you have no evidence for your
faith.
Your miracle seed will challenge your mountain. If you have faith as small as the size of a mustard seed, you can use that
your seed to challenge that mountain you are facing and the mountain will move.
In Matthew 17:20 Jesus said unto them, “…for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain
of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place;
and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
For
instance, there is a particular pressing need in your Church, and you sow what
you cannot afford towards it, this miracle seed will place a demand on the
power of God to flow into your situation to produce your desired miracle. The money you sow as a seed faith
can fetch anything you desire for yourself. It stands before God to plead your
case.
Examples of people who received their miracles by placing a demand
on the power of God abound in the Scriptures:
1. God
the Father. God
the Father needed a family - the Church. So He sowed the unspeakable seed (2 Cor. 9:15), Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, and reaped the Church which He so much desired
(Jn. 3:16; Phil. 2:5).
2. The
Bible talks about a prophet’s widow who desperately needed a miracle. This
widow was the wife of a Bible school student under Prophet Elisha.
In
2 Kings 4:1-7, the Bible said that a certain woman of the wives of the sons of
the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your
servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. But
he owed money to a man. And now that man is coming to take my two sons to make
them his slaves.” So the man of God, Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for
you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” And she said, “Your maidservant
has nothing in the house BUT a jar of olive oil.”
Listen
to me beloved, most times you hear people claiming to have nothing to sow. Adam
actually did not have anything to sow. But because he needed a miracle, he had
to surrender himself for surgery. A rib had to be taken from him through
surgery. That is the only way it can happen: you must give something – a seed
that will activate your faith and put a demand on God’s power (Gen. 8:22; Lk.
6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6-7).
My
dear, even if a seed has to be taken from you tonight by surgery, it is worth
it. After all, the dress you are putting on right now is something. That your
shoe or hands watch is something.
The
woman in need claimed to have nothing BUT.
Notice that BUT. In your own case, I
know that you don’t have anything to sow BUT...
What is that your BUT? That is
exactly what you need to sow in order to achieve the result you desire. The BUT of this woman was a jar of oil.
Then
the man of God gave her a simple instruction that sounded very unreasonable. He
instructed her to go and borrow many empty vessels (not a vessel) from
everywhere, from all her neighbours. And when she had come in, she should shut
the door behind her and her sons. She should then pour the oil into all those
vessels, and set aside the full ones. She obeyed the voice of the prophet of
God because 2 Chronicles 20:20
says, “….and
believe the prophet, so shall ye prosper.”
Now
it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring
me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There
is no other vessel.”
So the oil ceased. You see, she borrowed vessels according to the level of her
faith. If she had filled that large room with empty vessels no matter how
large, God would have still filled all of them because our God is unlimited
(Eph. 3:20). The oil ceased when the last vessel filled up. The woman
limited God.
She
came and told the man of God the result achieved. She waited for the next
instruction from the prophet of God. And he said to her, “Go
sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.”
You see that this woman, by sowing a miracle seed, not only solved her
immediate problem, but crossed over from lack to overflowing abundance. You too
can cross over from less than enough to more than enough right now.
3. Abraham was
childless and desperately needed a miracle. He activated his faith for the miracle he needed
from God by sowing a miracle seed (Gen. 18, 22). Isaac was the quality seed
that Abraham sowed in order to reap the harvest of becoming the father of
nations. Your seed contains your harvest
[miracle] – your new car, your new house, your divine healing, that new job
etc.
Abraham tapped the wonder-working power of God into
his situation by placing a demand on the power of God through his
seed, and the yoke of childlessness was destroyed. Abraham linked
up with the invisible hand of the Omnipotent God through faith and virtue was
instantly released into his situation to enhance his value by meeting to his
need. Isaac came forth!
In
Genesis 18:1, the Bible records that Abraham remained in the heat of the day.
We all are going through one heat or the other. It is inside. You can’t tell it
to anyone. For some, it is an anti-progress curse that has been upon their
family.
They
do everything within their power to succeed in life but success always eludes
them. For some it is the case of spirit spouse. For some it is their children
that have refused to follow the way of the LORD. For Abraham, it was the case
of childlessness. In this state, this man who was in dare need was looking for where to
sow a miracle seed that will challenge his situation and give him the miracle
he was looking for.
In
Genesis 18:1-8, Abraham attended to three men. That was the day he planted the
seed that settled his case. The seed you will sow today will settle your case.
In
Genesis 18:9-10, the Bible says, “And
they said unto him (Abraham), where is Sarah thy wife?” And he said unto them,
“Behold, in the tent.” And He said, “I will certainly do unto thee according to
the time of life; and lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.”
In
Genesis 21:1-2 the Bible declares, “And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said,
and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken.”
Sarah
conceived and bare Abraham a son in his old age at the set time of which God
had spoken to him. God’s Word came to pass in the life of Abraham just as God
said simply because Abraham sowed a quality miracle seed that settled
his case.
What is the situation you are facing right
now that requires a miracle? What
mountain are you facing right now? I want you to know that though the devil
meant it for evil, but God is turning it around for good.
Romans
8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Beloved,
that which you are holding in your hands right now is your miracle seed for
that miracle you need. That is the seed that will release your faith and place
a demand on the power of God required for the miracle you desire. You have your
destiny right in your hands. The choice is yours!
