BE FULLY PERSUADED THAT GOD IS ABLE TO GIVE YOU YOUR DESIRED BREAKTHROUGH!

For you to receive your desired breakthrough, you must be fully persuaded that GOD IS ABLE to do whatsoever He promised you in His Word.

Because of the ignorance of this truth, many Christians fail to receive their breakthroughs. So today, we are going to look at the fifth principle of breakthrough - “BE FULLY PERSUADED THAT GOD IS ABLE TO GIVE YOU YOUR DESIRED BREAKTHROUGH!”

As a child of God, if you really want to receive your breakthrough, you must be fully persuaded that God has the ability to perform whatsoever He has promised.

The Bible says, “…21 And being fully persuaded (convinced, to be moved by argument or evidence to believe) that, what He had promised, HE WAS ABLE ALSO TO PERFORM. 22 And therefore it was imputed (credited, attributed) to him for righteousness” (Rom. 4:17-22).

Knowledge of the power of God you will truly convince you that He has all it takes to do for you far beyond whatsoever you can ever ask or imagine.

Joshua 4:23-24 says, “For the Lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and He kept it dry until you were all across, just as He did at the Red Sea when He dried it up until we had all crossed over. 24 He did this so that all the nations of the earth MIGHT KNOW THE POWER OF THE LORD, and that you might fear the LORD your God forever.”

“…but the people that do know (the power of) their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Dan. 11:32).

This power is not natural, but supernatural. This is the very power that makes God to be God. The Bible has an eight-fold description of this divine and irresistible power:

1. This power is GREAT! Acts 4:33 reads, “And with GREAT power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”

2. This power is MIGHTY! Ephesians 1:19 says, “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us ward who believe according to the working of His MIGHTY power.”

3. This power is EXCEEDING GREAT! Ephesians 1:19 says, “And what is the EXCEEDING GREATNESS of His power to us ward who believe according to the working of His mighty power.”

4. This power is EXCELLENT! 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the EXCELLENCY of the power may be of God and not of us.”

5. This power is ETERNAL! Romans 1:20 says, “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even, His ETERNAL power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”

This is not a power that fades with time. It is permanent. It never loses its strength (potency, quality). It is the same today, yesterday, and forever (Heb. 13:8; Mal. 3:6). The miracles it did in the past, it will do today, and even in the timeless future. There will be a repeat of such miracles in your life today!

6. This power is GLORIOUS! Colossians 1:11 says, “Strengthened with all might according to His GLORIOUS power unto all patience and longsuffering and joyfulness.”

7. This power is DIVINE! 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as His DIVINE power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that called us unto glory and virtue.”

8. This power is UNLIMITED, and this is why God can never be limited by anything.

In Luke 1:37 Jesus said, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

In Matthew 19:26 Jesus said, “…With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

In Jeremiah 32:27 God said, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for Me?”

God is omnipotent and therefore cannot be limited in power. And because He is unlimited in power, He can do anything. He is able to do the impossible! God is able to:

1. Do the unthinkable or unimaginable (Isa. 43:18-19; Lk. 1:37; Jer. 32:27).

a) God can make a way for you where men say there is no way. For instance, God parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel to pass (Ex. 14). This is unthinkable!

b) Make a woman that was 90 year old, in whom it has ceased to be after the manner of women, to conceive and bare a son (Rom. 4:17-21). This is unthinkable!

c) Shut the mouth of the hungry lions in the den of lions (Dan 6), so they could not harm Daniel. This is unthinkable!

d) Convert a fiery furnace into an air-conditioned room. In Daniel 3, He converted the fiery furnace that was made seven times hotter into a properly chilled air-conditioned apartment. This is unthinkable!

e) Make dry bones to live again. In Ezekiel 37:1-10, He caused the dry bones of dead people in an open valley to become an exceeding great army.

f) Make you to walk on water. Peter walked on water (Matt. 14:22-32; Heb. 12:2).

g) Calm any kind of storm. He can calm the storm in your marriage, business etc.  In Mark 4: 35-41, He calmed the storm raging in the Sea of Galilee.

h) Feed you with the food of angels. In Exodus 16:35, God fed the children of Israel for forty years in the wilderness with manna from Heaven. They lacked nothing in all that time. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell! He gave the children of Israel bread from heaven when they were hungry and water from the Rock when they were thirsty (Ex. 17). He is the Fountain of living water (Jer. 17:13).

i) Make a paralyzed man whole again. In Mark 2: 1-12, He healed a paralyzed man.

j) Make the deaf and dumb to hear and speak. In Mark 7:31-37, He made the deaf and dumb both to hear and speak.

k) Turn water into wine. In John 2, He turned water into the sweetest wine that ever existed.

l) Heal you no matter how long your sickness has lasted. In John 5, He healed a man by the pool of Bethesda who had an infirmity for 38 years. Also, in Mark 5, He healed a woman who was suffering from an issue of blood for 12 years.

m) Raise the dead. He raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead. May be the Pharisees said that the girl was not really dead but sleeping. Therefore, He raised the only son of the woman of Nain that was already in a coffin from the dead. The scientists among them said that he may have also been in a long coma. This time around Jesus decided to allow a man called Lazarus to be stone dead, and already buried in the grave yard. In John 11, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

n) Give sight to the blind (Mk. 10:46-52), even if you were born blind (Jn. 9:1-7).

2. Deliver you from any kind of trouble or destruction. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all” (Ps. 34:19).

For instance, a) He delivered the three Hebrew children from the blazing fiery furnace. Daniel 3:17 says, “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.”

b) He delivered Daniel from the hungry lions in the den of lions (Dan. 6).
c) He delivered Paul and Silas from the dungeon (Acts 16:19-34).
d) He delivered Peter from prison (Acts 12:11).

3. Raise children from stones. In Matthew 3:9 Jesus said, “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”

4. Build you up and give you an inheritance among all them that are sanctified. Acts 20:32 says, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

5. Keep you from falling. Jude 24 says, “Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

6. And if you happen to fall He can make you to stand again. Romans 14:4 says, “Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? To his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.”

7. Help or assist you when you are tempted. Hebrews 2:18 says, “For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour (help, assist) them that are tempted.”

1 Corinthians 10:12-13 says, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

8. Save you to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for you. Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

9. Give you much more than you desire. 2 Chronicles 25:9 says,And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.”

10. Make all grace abound toward you. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

12. Perform whatsoever He has promised. A good example is the case of Abraham and Sarah. In spite of all odds, God performed exactly what He promised them. What was the promise God made to Abram? God promised Abram saying, “As the stars of heaven, so shall your offspring be.”

In Genesis 15:1-6 the Bible says that after this, the Word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very (exceeding) great reward." But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can You give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?" And Abram said, "You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir." Then the Word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir." God then took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars--if indeed you can count them." Then He said to Abram, "So shall your offspring be."

In Genesis 18:10 God said to Abraham, “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.”

Abraham was fully persuaded that God was able to do whatsoever He has promised.
Romans 4:21 said, “And (Abraham) being fully persuaded (convinced) that, whatsoever He had promised, HE WAS ABLE also to perform.”

In Genesis 21:1-2 the Bible says, “And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said (promised), and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken (promised). 2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set (appointed) time of which God had spoken to him.”

You too, like Abraham, ought to be totally convinced that you will receive your breakthrough whenever you come to God for help.
Conclusion: No matter how extreme your calamity, God is able to help you. He is loving and kind to all especially those who are distressed. Rise up today and receive your breakthrough, IJN!
