THE CONSEQUENCES OF SPIRITUAL SHORT-SIGHTEDNESS

Many Born-Again Believers today are suffering from spiritual myopia. What is myopia? Myopia is an eye defect called short-sightedness. Myopia is the lack of foresight or intellectual insight.

THE REALITY OF HELL

 Do you really believe in Hell? Most people say they believe in hell but they are living as though hell does not exist. What you believe shows up in how you live.

CAN ONE LOSE HIS SALVATION?

 Today, we are going to examine the doctrine of “ETERNAL SALVATION.” This doctrine also called “ONCE SAVED, FOREVER SAVED” emphasizes that you can never lose your salvation no matter what you do. But is it true that once you are saved, then you are saved forever? This is the question we are going to answer today in the light of the Scriptures. Here are some Scriptures some preachers use to justify this doctrine:

 The question is not, “Do you go to church?” It is not, “Is your name in the church register?” It is not, “Are you a member of any denomination?” The question is, “Are you really saved? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?” Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?”

Today, we want to take time to look at “WHAT IS SALVATION?” When you look at the life of many people in the church today, you wonder whether they are really saved. In a generation marked by spiritual highs and moral decadence, many are falling away, not because they weren’t moved emotionally when they received Christ, but because they were never taught what salvation truly is.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE IN CHRIST?

 There are so many people claiming to be Christians but they have no idea of “what it means to believe in Christ.” So today, we are going to look at “What it means to believe in Christ.”
